Environmental impact of architecture

The course is addressed to provide a definition of sustainable architecture from the theoretical deployment raised by the statement of the Bruntdland report. The relationship between sustainability and architecture taking into account the perception of the limits will be considered, as well as the material and energy flows involved in the construction process.

The main objective is that students have a good grasp of the analysis and evaluation of the constructive practice in architecture, while being able to assess its environmental impact by mastering the most appropriate techniques and tools in each case.
