Acoustics in architecture

This course discusses the relationship between architecture and sound, considering it a design element of the interior and exterior spaces. The energetic component of the sound and the influence of the architectural form on the proper function of the sound space is studied in depth.

Students will come to understand the formal and temporal relationships involved in the sound field, both in indoor or outdoor spaces, to incorporate them with rigor and knowledge in any design. With this purpose, the students will know the necessary tools to face this issue.
